Introduction
The Embassy of Portugal in Moscow is pleased to announce the opening of their Visa Application Centre in Moscow.

This site provides information on procedures applicable to Russian and non-Russian residents who wish to apply for a Schengen Visa at the Visa Application Centre to travel to Portugal with a view to an intended stay in or transit through the territory of the Member States of a duration of no more than 90 days in any 180 day period from the date of entry in the Schengen area.

The visa applications submitted at the Visa Application Centre in Moscow will be assessed by the Embassy of Portugal in Moscow.

Applications for Schengen visas can be submitted at the Visa Application Centre without an appointment. Alternatively, an appointment may be booked online or through the Call Centre.

Note: Please note that all applications regarding Residence Permits and visas exceeding 90 days have to be submitted directly to the Embassy of Portugal in Moscow and are subject to prior online appointment booking. Applicants can find more information on the Ministry of Portugal website.

Also, applicants who wish to submit Schengen visa applications directly to the Embassy of Portugal are required prior application and appointment booking online
 
Visa Application Process
Process for applying for a Schengen Visa at the Visa Application Centre
Step 1 :You may find answers to some of your questions in FAQ or by contacting us.
Step 2 :Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy of Portugal. Please fill in and sign the appropriate visa application form.
Step 3 :Please go to the link “Required documents” and click on your purpose of travel to learn about documents required to submit your visa application according to the purpose of your visit. Please ensure that you furnish all required documents along with your application.
Step 4 :Lodge your application at the Visa Application Centre.
Step 5 :If you have already submitted an application for a visa at the Visa Application Centre click here to Track your application
Step 6 :Collect your passport from the Visa Application Centre (alternatively, have it delivered by courier, at an extra cost).

Additionally, please note the following:

Applicants shall appear in person when lodging an application. Visa applications may also be submitted through the Tour agencies accredited to the Embassy of Portugal.

Exceptionally, a visa application may also be submitted through an authorized representative. A representative may be:
 A close relative (spouses, children, parents, grandparents, grandchildren). Proof of family tie must be submitted.
 A representative of administrative or local government when purpose of travel is official visit. Authorization from the administration must be submitted.
 A representative of the relevant organization when the purpose of travel is sports, culture. Authorization from the organization must be submitted.
 A representative of organizations and companies submitting applications for their employees and employer’s family members. Authorization from the employer must be submitted.
 In case if a third person would like to submit documents a notary verified authorization must be submitted.
